I believe that the aim of the EU citizenship is to allow everyone in it to travel and do commerce freely. I don’t’ think that the second option was wrong, it’s just that in my opinion eliminating barriers to the mobility of workers, tourists and shoppers is something that will allow the whole community to develop in its natural way without restrictions. We are a people as humanity not just as one country, this mentality that only this or that country should thrive is old and needs to be replaced with assertiveness and compassion if we are to survive and develop more and more.

The status of European citizenship was introduced in European law with the Maastricht Treaty in 1992. It entails a series of rights that nationals of member states would not enjoy if they were not European citizens. European citizenship differs both from nationality in unitary states and from dual citizenship commonly found in federal systems. In the ‘common provisions’ in Title I, implementing a EU citizenship means "to create a citizenship common to the nationals of their countries’ and ‘to strengthen rights of the nationals of their member states through the introduction of a citizenship of the Union." The entitlements connected to EU citizenship share the assumption that the nationality a person holds is irrelevant for the purpose of enjoying the rights attributed by the Union. In this sense, European citizens are equal before EU law in their citizens’ rights. The provision of rights is therefore a central aspect of European citizenship. The different legal positions associated with Union citizenship have a common principle: freedom from discrimination on grounds of nationality. Citizenship of the Union shall be additional to and not replace national citizenship.

I think that the purpose of EU citizenship is primarely that citizens are able to travel freely in the member states, to work to shop to live or to visit. The creation Of EU was among many things as an economical power thus free work force travel is key then the purpose of manting peace between the member staes which is also key to a healthy economical growth.

If you are an EU citizen, you really have many benefits. As I understood from these videos, many people said that the best positive idea in EU citizenship is FREEDOM, that is a free movement, the ability to travel easily without many papers and documents. If to speak about students, it’s really a good experience for them to study or to have a practice abroad. They can discover new ways for their future, that can be really more successful. And if to tell about those two variants above the videos, I lean towards the first version. Because EU citizenship can really help people that cannot find a high paying job or people with little opportunity in their country, to gain experience / work in another country, if there will be no problems with borders. And for the tourists it’s also applies to them.

I think that the biggest benefit of EU citizenship is that you are able to travel freely in the member states. To my mind, the content of the citizenship of the European Union is the legal link between the citizens of the EU Member States and this organization, which is manifested in mutual rights and obligations. The issue of citizenship of the European Union is still at the stage of its formation.Acquiring European citizenship does not prevent a person from fully exercising all rights and freedoms as a citizen of a particular EU member state.

European Union citizenship is additional to national citizenship. EU citizenship affords rights, freedoms and legal protections to all of its citizens. Like national citizenship, EU citizenship refers to a relationship between the citizen and the European Union which is defined by rights, duties. It means to have a lot of benefits that include your rights are protected at home or abroad, travelling, the mobility of workers, shoppers and tThat why, purpose of EU citizenship is eliminating barriers to the mobility of workers, tourists and shoppers in order to realise the single market.he mobility of studying in order to realise a single market because of all these things can influence on the state of the market.

In my opinion, one of the basic purpose of EU citizenship is eliminating barriers to the mobility of workers, tourists and shoppers in order to realise the single market. For making Europe prosper, its citizen must have the opportunity to learn, work, and innovate in the member state that suits their skills and ambitions most closely is another motive of EU citizenship. EU Citizens enjoys numerous right like, to move and reside freely within the EU, to vote and stand as candidates in municipal and European parliament election wherever they live in the EU, under the same conditions as nationals, to be assisted by another EU country's embassy or consulate outside the EU under the same condition as nationals etc.

We can find many European Union citizenship purposes, but the first one (mentioned in the first answer) is eliminating barriers to the mobility of workers, tourists and shoppers in order to realise the single market. This is an important and ambitious purpose, because it's a procedure that requires a lot of time and patience, but it's also slowed down by obstacles (like sovereigns movements in Hungary or Poland). Eu citizenship is also beneficent for European citizens who want to move abroad, in other European Union countries, to find a job (we must remember how hard was for romanian citizens to move in the EU before 2007) or simply with a student exchange program. It' always important to understand and promote the idea that we're not only Romanian citizens (in my case) but also European citizens.

This is a difficult question in general that was intended first for master's students and now for third-year students taking a course on EU policies. You are all advised to do your course's reading and focus on your course's seminar questions after watching all the videos and considering all the options. The evaluation system is designed in such a way in which it pays to answer fewer questions in depth rather than many superficially. Focus on your course, your reading list, your seminar questions, and the videos and options provided. Do not forget to attend your weekly seminars with your teacher and colleagues, and ask for help if needed.
